Indoor Niches
An alternative to in-ground burial of cremated remains is inurnment in a niche. The Resurrection and Assumption Chapel Columbariums in Calvary Cemetery provide glass-front single, double, and feature niches to families in an indoor setting.
As it is in the case of graves and crypts, when a niche is sold, ownership of the niche remains with the Catholic Cemeteries. The purchaser, through the Inurnment Rights Agreement, is only given an exclusive and permanent right of use of the niche for the inurnment of human remains. The price of indoor niches includes a name plate of plaque to inscribe the name of the deceased and the dates of birth and death.
